The use of this therapeutic technique in adipose tissue creates a local electric field with the passage of the current generated by the equipment. Its electrodes are acupuncture needles that are inserted in pairs perpendicularly into the dermis. The distance between one needle and another must be uniform. Electrolipolysis can be performed with a needle or through self-adhesive electrodes.

The combination of the effects of the electric current - such as vasodilation, increased cellular metabolism and mobilization of body fluids with the action of the drug used for treatment - enhances the effects of the therapy. Products indicated for cellulite, localized fat, tissue sagging and post-operative treatment are normally used.
